We were surprised that Siem Reap looked more modern than anticipated. Shopping was however limited as the shopping malls were generally small. The tourist area is enclosed by Pub Street (better known as Pub Street), Sivatha Boulevard, Achar Hem Cheav Street and Hospital Street. This area encompasses Phsar Chas (Old Market) and is cramped with restaurants, pubs, hawker stands and of course tourists and tuk-tuks.
