Long Beach
Long Beach on Perhentian Kecil lived up to its reputation as being the most beautiful beach. It was indeed beautiful, with its ½ kilometre long, soft, powdery white sand beach. There was no dead coral peppering the beach here. Its beach was wide and sloped gently into the sea. The water was clean, clear and shallow. With a combination of all these factors, it was no wonder the most popular beach, with the most visitors, mainly young western backpackers. I love the beach too.
The following photographs showed the scenery from the south to the north. The southern-most chalet was Rock Garden Village and the northern-most chalet was Moonlight Chalet.
D'Lagoon Chalet Beach
Up north, 10 minutes' away by water-taxi, on the same side as Long Beach, is a 50 metre long beach where D'Lagoon, the only chalet is situated. The beach is full of dead coral but the water is crystal clear.
Turtle Bay Beach
Turtle Beach and Adam & Eve Beach, both on the northwest of Perhentian Kecil Island, were similar. The water was crystal clear but the beach was heavily littered with dead, broken coral.
Adam and Eve Beach
Coral Bay or Teluk Aur Beach
We stepped foot on Teluk Aur or Coral Bay Beach as it was getting dark. The water was very calm and clear. As I was busy taking photos of the building there, I did not pay enough attention to the beach. Therefore, I could not recall much of what I saw of this ½ kilometre long beach.
